On-Line Education Programs
The CTGFOA Education Committee sent out a survey inquiring about interest in training for the Certified Public Finance Officer Program offered by the GFOA. There was a significant amount of interest however; the cost to bring someone here to CT was significant which made it not feasible at this time. We are still looking into some on-site training in the future but this may or may not happen in the near future.
In an effort to try to provide membership with some educational tools I have found a few on line courses offered by the University of Georgia and Radford University. The University of Georgia offers on-line training for various Governmental Finance courses and certificates. Attached is a listing of some of those courses and a link to their site.
