Town of New Canaan
The Town of New Canaan is currently seeking applicants for
the position of Financial Analyst. This position reports directly to the Chief
Financial Officer. This position provides timely and accurate maintenance of the
town’s fiscal stability by administering and reconciling matters related to its
accounting systems and controls, collections, financial reporting, fund custody
and disbursement. Preparation of

The Financial Analyst is required to exercise considerable
judgment and is responsible for maintaining and improving upon the efficiency
and effectiveness of all areas under his/her direction.
Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting,
finance or public administration or related degree from an accredited college
or program. Must also have over five years of experience in municipal
accounting/finance and related work experience or any equivalent combination of
education, training and work experience.
