Budget and Grants Manager

 

The Town of West Hartford seeks to hire an experienced Budget and Grants Manager to plan and direct the development, adoption and execution of the annual operating budget, capital budgets, and Special Revenue fund budgets.  Conducts research, complex analyses, management, monitoring, and review of the Town’s budget and policy issues involving organizational, administrative, and financial procedures for budgeting, capital financing, long-term planning, fixed assets and other accounting functions.  Prepares and develops grant applications and manages existing grants for compliance.

 

Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with concentration in Business or Public Administration, Accounting, or Finance, with eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in government financial planning and budgeting, operational or procedural analysis and grant management, with two (2) or more years of supervisory experience; or other combinations of professional experience and education deemed equivalent by the Executive Director of Human Resources may be substituted.  Certified Public Finance Officer (CPFO) preferred.  Salary range $91,130 - $113,958.
