 Accountant – Finance Department

Position Description 

This is technical accounting work in the maintenance of accounts and financial records, with a primarily focus on payroll supervision and accounting.  Performs complex accounting duties and prepares financial reports. Primary work relates to processing bi-weekly payroll and monthly pension payroll.  Graduation from a recognized college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field with strong ancillary course work in accounting. Minimum of one year of experience in technical accounting work, business and administration in municipal government. Starting salary $67,412.80 to $70,699.20 DOE.  Additional Union annual Union step increases, top step currently $80,225.60.
