Rate of Pay: $74,617.53 - $80,586.93

General Description
This is very responsible technical, clerical and administrative work involving the collection of municipal taxes and other revenues.

Work involves responsibility for collecting current and delinquent revenues. Duties include policy implementation, collection planning and conducting collection activities. This position also has the responsibility for making difficult revenue collection technical decisions. The work requires that the employee have considerable knowledge, skill and ability in every phase of tax and other revenue collection work.

Qualifications
A bachelorís degree from a recognized college or university in business administration, public administration, or a closely related field, plus five or more yearsí experience in accounting collection or any combination of experience and training, which provides a demonstrated ability to perform the duties of the position.

Important Information
Certified Connecticut Municipal Collector (CCMC) certification within three years of hire date and a valid state of Connecticut Driverís License. Must be eligible for required bonding at time of appointment.

In order to be considered, applicants must demonstrate on their application they meet the minimum qualifications as stated in the job announcement.

There is a City of Norwich residency requirement. You must reside within the State of Connecticut, 60 miles from Norwich within one year of appointment.

Examination will consist of 100% written or 100% oral OR 50% written and 50% oral.
