DEPUTY CHIEF INVESTMENT OFFICER


State of Connecticut Treasurerís Office, Pension Fund Management Division, managing over $29 billion in assets, is searching for a strategic senior leader to join the Division as Deputy CIO. Reporting to the CIO, the Deputy CIO is responsible for staff and operations supervision, accounting and control, performance evaluation and risk management.

A bachelorís degree and current investment continuing education experience are required; a CFA is preferred. A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with a positive track record of investment performance; experience reengineering investment operations and implementing portfolio analytics; and staff recruitment, development and retention are required.

The ideal candidate has a general understanding of global economic and capital markets, the principles of public fund investing, institutional investment operations, and investment policy development. Broad institutional asset class knowledge or experience in both public and private markets, with a variety of private partnership structures is preferred.
