Municipality of 55,000± population seeks a highly qualified individual to be responsible for all the financial activities of the City including, but not limited to, the direction and coordination of offices and personnel providing budget, tax assessment and collection, treasury management, accounting, expenditure control and financial reporting services. In addition to the supervision of subordinate staff, the Finance Director will participate in the formulation of financial policies and their execution, serving both as budget officer and controller. The employee will plan, organize, direct and review the work of several separate operating units engaged in a variety of financial and related activities and attend all budget sessions called by the Mayor, the Board of Finance and the Board of Aldermen. Requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of five years’ supervisory experience in municipal finance. Consideration will be given to equivalent experience and training.
