Director of Finance - Treasurer

Town of Simsbury, CT

 

The Director of Finance - Treasurer plans, organizes and directs the financial management of the Town including the direction and supervision of the offices of Accounting, Assessor and Tax Collector.  The Director serves as Town Treasurer and agent of the Town Deposit Fund and oversees financial activities of the Town including the maintenance of accounts and financial records; cash management; payroll operation; insurance, and pension programs.  Qualifications include a Masters Degree in accounting, finance, business administration or public administration; over eight (8) years of experience in municipal accounting/finance; and at least four (4) years of supervisory experience. CPA preferred.  Salary Range: $80,000-$130,000.
