Position: Controller/Treasurer

This position performs difficult professional and administrative work planning, organizing and directing the financial and budgeting activities of the Town including but not limited to the areas of accounting, disbursements, and investments. Supervision is exercised over all accounting personnel regularly and departmental personnel (revenue, assessment) in the absence of the Director of Finance. Position serves in key role for developing and monitoring the Townís budget, as well as budgets for five other entities: Mansfield Board of Education, Regional School District #19, Eastern Highlands Health District, Mansfield Discovery Depot (daycare center), and Mansfield Downtown Partnership. The preferred candidate will have a bachelorís in accounting or related field and extensive experience in public finance administration. Consideration may be given to equivalent experience and training. Position start date anticipated for July 1, 2009. Hiring range $64,128-$79,724 with excellent benefits package.
