POSITION OVERVIEW &
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The Deputy Tax Collector assists
the
Tax
Collector
in
recording and reporting of tax collection, sewer and
water benefit assessments, sewer
use charges, and landfill
collection. The Deputy
Tax Collector assumes responsibility of
the Tax office in the absence of the Tax Collector.
The skills and
knowledge required would generally be
acquired with an Associates Degree in Business; or a high school diploma and
seven years increasingly responsible experience in a tax collection environment.
Ability to operate computer, word and
data processing equipment, create spreadsheets, perform word processing, and manage databases.
Certified
Connecticut
Municipal Collector (CCMC) required.
