PAYROLL
COORDINATOR –
Finance Department - Town of South Windsor - 37.5 hrs./wk.
- Salary of $72,000 to $75,000 depending upon experience – Non-Bargaining Unit –
This position works under the general direction of the Finance Director and is
responsible for the full cycle processing of the Town’s weekly payroll. A high
degree of confidentiality is required while preparing reports, W-2’s and
transmission of weekly 401A and Deferred Compensation files. This position
requires adaptability to new technology and serves as the department’s initial
payroll contact with employees. Graduation from college with an Associate
Degree in accounting or related field (Bachelor Degree preferred); a minimum of
three years of experience as a payroll clerk or staff accountant; familiarity
with computerized payroll software required; specialized education or training
in other computer applications desired. In lieu of the above, any equivalent
combination of training and experience that provides the following knowledge,
abilities and skills may be considered at the discretion of the Town.
