The Human Resources Department of the Madison Public Schools has a vacancy for:



Administrative Assistant, Human Resources

Central Office

Full year / 8 hours per day

(Commencing Mid-July 2021)



Responsibilities: Coordinates pre-employment aspects of Human Resources, including job postings, application review and interview scheduling.  Maintains personnel records including all required pre-employment paperwork, background screenings, teacher certifications and tenure information. Processes all state required staffing and certification reports. Manages Extra Pay for Extra Duty (EPED) positions and substitute pool. Oversees absences and absence management data. 


Closing Date: Open Until Filled

Salary:  Commensurate with experience



         5 years of experience in a high level, confidential human resources role.

         Knowledge of general human resources practices and applicable local, state and federal employment laws.

         Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.

         Ability to operate a variety of computer systems including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.  Knowledge of Frontline and MUNIS systems desired.

         Ability to accurately process and analyze data. 

         Strong organizational skills and attention to details. 

         Able to function independently while operating effectively within a team environment.

         Ability to maintain confidentiality.
