NOTICE OF JOB OPENING
ASSISTANT I – Finance Department,
Shared Position between Purchasing & Accounting
Full-time, 35 hours per week
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: The skills and knowledge required
would generally be acquired with a high school education with course work in
Commercial Arithmetic or Bookkeeping and 4 years of responsible clerical
bookkeeping experience, or a Bachelor’s Degree in lieu of experience or an
Associates Degree with 2 years experience, Ability to acquire skill to operate
data processing equipment. Ability to type. Exceptional attention to detail and
the ability to multi-task and prioritize work is essential.
DUTIES OF THE POSITION: May
include bank account reconciliations, preparation of weekly revenue deposits,
review and processing of purchase order requisitions, research pricing for
material and supplies, accounts payable backup, creating and/or updating Excel
spreadsheets, bi-weekly payroll backup, data entry, mailroom processing,
purchasing card assistance, accounts receivable and escheatment.
