TOWN OF MANSFIELD
Internal Position Announcement
Town is looking to fill a full-time vacancy for an Assessor in the Department
of Finance. This position performs difficult professional work planning,
organizing and directing the appraisal of real property for assessment purposes
as well as related work as required.
The Assessor performs duties such as planning,
organizing and directing the appraisal, valuation and reevaluation of real
property in the Town; assisting citizens with real estate assessment problems
and needs; maintaining records and files; preparing reports. Work is performed under general
supervision and supervision is exercised over all division staff. Position reports to the Director of Finance.
This exempt position is 35 hours/week with
Graduation from an
accredited college or university with major course work in business, economics
or related field and extensive experience in the management of public
assessment operations. Consideration may
be given to equivalent experience and training.
Candidate must possess an appropriate driverís license
valid in the State of Connecticut and CCMA II certification.
